President Trump wanted to deploy 10,000 troops to control protests in Washington, D.C., this week, according to officials familiar with the matter, the Washington Post and CBS News reported.

According to a senior Pentagon official, Attorney General Bill Barr, Defense Secretary Mark Esper and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley advised against the deployment in an oval office meeting Monday.

  1. Why do you persist in repeating “news” based on anonymous sources from Pravda on the Potomac? Do you also credit their articles attacking Israel?

    • Did you bother to read the article? It contains two public quotes, and a refusal by the White House to deny the unsourced quotes. One of the quotes is from Trump’s own first Defense Secretary, whom Trump has lavishly praised. Another is by a Republican US Senator who never did join the Trump cult.

Trump is a danger to freedom.

      • Now that’s sweet. Sending in troops to protect civilians from rioting mobs is a danger to freedom. Rioting, looting and assaults are the essence of freedom. Charles B. Hall, you make your position very clear.

  2. Yup Charles it’s trump who is the danger.
Not the animals running around torching looting and who knows what else. They are fine upstanding citizens it’s trump who is the danger.
I got a great idea for you.
Go live in the projects. Trump is not the boss there and you can be at the mercy of all the great almost humans who rule the streets there.
See how you like them freedoms
