President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden arrived in Nevada late Friday for more rest and relaxation.

It’s Biden’s second weeklong vacation in the past month.

Biden has spent 374 days — 39.7% of his presidency — on vacation.

For their current vacation, the first couple has opted to lease a private residence nestled near Lake Tahoe, an expansive alpine lake bordering the states of California and Nevada. The lake is known for its allure as a tourist destination, particularly during the winter months when ski resorts thrive.

The President’s journey to this vacation spot commenced with his departure from Camp David, where he had overseen a summit involving the leaders of South Korea and Japan. The residence they have chosen is situated within the Glenbrook community and belongs to Tom Steyer and Kat Taylor. Steyer, an investor, environmental advocate, and Democratic benefactor, had even participated in the 2020 presidential race.

In accordance with transparency, the White House confirmed that the Bidens are leasing the property at a fair market rate. The duration of their stay in the region is anticipated to span approximately one week. A temporary interruption in their vacation is planned for Monday, as the couple is set to visit Maui. The purpose of this visit is to assess the aftermath of a devastating wildfire that ravaged the historic town of Lahaina, resulting in the loss of at least 114 lives. During their visit, the Bidens are slated to interact with survivors, first responders, and local officials, thereby gaining firsthand insight into the extent of the devastation.

Earlier this month, President Biden enjoyed a vacation at his residence in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. During this time, he engaged in recreational activities such as cycling and beach visits.

The Bidens are no strangers to summer retreats, having previously chosen to unwind on Kiawah Island, South Carolina. Their annual Thanksgiving tradition involves spending time on the resort island of Nantucket, Massachusetts. As for the transition into the new year, the Bidens had ventured to the U.S. Virgin Islands, where they remained until the year’s end.

Upon President Biden’s return to the nation’s capital, he will be faced with a multitude of critical issues demanding his attention. The White House’s primary focus in September centers around averting a government shutdown as the month concludes. Concurrently, they will be engaged in the effort to secure approval from legislators for a supplementary funding package, encompassing substantial funds for Ukraine as well as disaster relief.

September promises to be a busy month for Biden, who is slated to participate in the Group of 20 summit hosted in India and the annual United Nations General Assembly.

Additionally, the White House’s vigorous campaign to promote Biden’s legislative achievements, under the banner of “Bidenomics,” will persist. This endeavor aims to win over more public support as the President paves the way for a potential second term in office.

The President’s immediate family, including his daughter Ashley and some of his grandchildren, joined him and the first lady on Air Force One for the journey to Nevada. Meanwhile, his son Hunter, along with his wife Melissa Cohen and their young son Beau, had already settled into the leased home ahead of their arrival.

  1. And the rest he has been busy eating ice cream and little children.

He is getting a free 4 yr hotel stay with free transportation and so is his son-in-crime.

  2. I would prefer Biden spend ALL his time on vacation. What positive thing has he ever done as president that anyone needs him in the oval office doing more of?

    • How can anyone believe this character who did nothing is president? “If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.” If not, not!
