Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will be undergoing a medical procedure Thursday night, Arutz Sheva reports, requiring him to temporarily hand over the reins of government while he is sedated.
The Prime Minister will be anesthetized while doctors work to shatter a stone in his urinary bladder. Netanyahu’s personal physician, Dr. Tzvi Berkovich, will take part in the procedure.
While the Prime Minister is unable to fulfill his duties, Environmental Protection Minister Zeev Elkin will serve in his stead as Acting Prime Minister. Read more Israel National News.
