Habochur Yisroel Noach Blau z”l

yisroel-noach-blauHundreds gathered yesterday in Yerushalayim to mourn the passing of Habochur Yisroel Noach Blau z”l, a talmid at Yeshiva Kol Torah in Yerushalayim who was niftar at age 19 after a serious illness. Yisroel Noach was a son of Rav Peretz Blau and a grandson of Rav Dovid Nachman Blau, one of the heads of Agudas Yisroel in Eretz Yisroel and a prominent leader in Chinuch Atzmai. Yisroel Noach was the eighth of 15 children in the Blau family, who reside in Ramat Shlomo in Yerushalayim.

During the past year, Yisroel Noach was hospitalized at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Yerushalayim and was later transferred to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, as the talmidim of Kol Torah davened for his recovery.

The levaya was held on Rechov Shmagar, with kevurah on Har Hamenuchos. The niftar was accompanied to kevurah by hundreds of distraught bnei Torah.

A heartrending hesped was delivered by Rav Peretz Blau who spoke about his son’s chashivus for learning and his middos tovos. Yisroel Noach’s devotion to kiyum hamitzvos during the last year despite his immense suffering and pain was simply remarkable.

Hespeidim were also delivered by the mashgiach of Kol Torah, Rav Yitzchok Yeruchem Bordiansky, as well as the rosh yeshiva, Rav Shmuel Deutch.  All spoke about Yisroel Noach’s devotion to and accomplishments in limud haTorah and his special nature and character.

Yehi zichro boruch.
