ISIS Ranks Grow as Fast as U.S. Bombs Can Wipe Them Out

isisFour thousand foreign fighters have joined ISIS since the allied airstrikes began, U.S. intelligence officials say. That’s nearly as many combatants as coalition forces claimed to have killed.

Moreover, the tally doesn’t count the thousands of local Iraqi and Syrian combatants who’ve joined the conflict.

“The numbers are not moving in our favor,” Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-TN) said last week, after a secret briefing with Gen. John Allen, presidential envoy in the campaign against ISIS.

  1. ISIS reminds me of the book Lord of the Flies. This happens when there are no adults in the room to control the children, they do what their animals instinct wants them to do and there are no monitors to say this is good and this is bad. It is for some people intriguing for there is no one to stop them and they not only do harm to others they start attacking each other with no consequences.

  2. why dont they just carpet bomb isis? isis has about 40,000 fighters, are you telling me the U.S. army cant take them out? something is wrong here?
