Syrian state media reported Saturday that at least forty-one people were being treated in the hospital for respiratory problems following a suspected chemical gas attack in Aleppo.
According to the reports, the northern government controlled region was attacked by a rebel group with projectiles allegedly filled with poisonous gas.
Regional head of health services, Ziad Hajj Taha, said it was a “probable” chlorine attack.It is not the first time such accusations have been leveled against the rebels in Aleppo. On other occasions the Syrian regime has been accused of using chemical weapons against rebel strongholds, which it has always denied.
