Watch: Campaign Ad Shows Missouri Gubernatorial Candidate Firing Machine Gun

Eric Greitens, who won the Republican nomination for Missouri governor on Tuesday, has a resume rich in diverse experience: Navy Seal, Rhodes scholar, White House fellow, international humanitarian. But in a new ad, he appears to have one simple qualification: shooting a Gatling-style machine gun into (or above?) a body of water, reports Quartz.

In the ad, the campaign says Greitens is under attack from “Obama’s Democrat machine,” but that he is a “conservative warrior,” who fights back with “big guns.”

  1. Ah-hahahahahahahahahahaha!
I love the great big smile and self-approving nod of the head he gives after he finishes firing. This is the funniest political commercial I’ve seen in a long time – maybe ever.

  2. This guy falls under the category of an evil white gun toting Republican racist who will kick granny out of her nursing home and Yank the food out of minority children’s mouths! And this is the State where we had “hands up don’t shoot” incident. Not a very smart ad by his team.

    • I didn’t know that. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
A quick look at Wikipedia shows he has an extremely impressive resume. Not only was he a Rhodes Scholar and a Navy Seal but he was ranked as one of the most influential people in the entire world. Why take such and outstanding candidate and create a political ad that makes him look like a stereotypical redneck?
