6 Capitol Police Officers Suspended, 29 Others Under Probe

Capitol Police leadership has suspended six officers and placed 29 others under investigation amid its review of the events of Jan. 6, a spokesman told CNN on Thursday.

“Acting Chief Yogananda Pittman has directed that any member of her department whose behavior is not in keeping with the Department’s Rules of Conduct will face appropriate discipline,” spokesman John Stolnis told CNN.

The suspensions are with pay and included an officer taking a selfie with a demonstrator and another who wore a Make America Great Again hat and helped direct people around the building, Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, told CNN.

  1. You can be sure that there will be no similar consequences for the police who got on their knees (literally) for the BLM rioters

  2. Strange how nothing is mentioned about the police who shot dead an unarmed female veteran. In any case, someone should teach this “acting Chief Yogananda Pittman” something about police “community outreach”. Maybe a few good showings of the old “The Andy Griffith Show” may be worth a try. It seems rather self-evident that by playing their friend the police kept those guys from engaging in vandalism. As the link points out, Pittman was among those that the Police Union as no-confidence.
