After 74 years, burial plots on Har Hazeisim were returned to the kollelim and chevros kaddisha that owned them before Jordan seized the holy site in 1948.
After the Six Day War, Israel placed most of the plots under the authority of the Custodian General.
With a massive investment of time and effort, Rav Tzuriel Krispel of the Cemeteries Council not only persuaded the Custodian General to return the plots to their rightful owners, but also identified the owners of every single plot.

Then when they locate the receipt, the chevra kadisha says “we didn’t mean to accuse you…..”, They are just plain pirates.
