According to a new report, the Jewish population of the West Bank will soon reach half a million.

In January 2022, the area’s Jewish population numbered 491,923 in 150 towns and settlements. This was an increase of 15,890 in one year and an addition of 148,985 new residents (43%) over the past decade.

Shocked at the bombshell, Dr. Shaul Arieli, a notorious leftist, claimed in an Haaretz article that the populations of many West Bank towns are decreasing and that the increasing numbers are only due to the growing families of chareidim in Kiryat Brachfeld, Beitar Illit, and other chareidi towns.

This is turning the West Bank into an impoverished “hunchback on the state’s back,” he argued.

Yigal Dilmoni, CEO of the Yehuda and Shomron Council, said that the report was based on data from the Interior Ministry and that one needs only to witness the frenetic building all over the West Bank to know that Arieli’s arguments are nonsense.

  1. HAARETZ IS A NOTORIOUS LEFT WING ANTISEMITIC PROPAGANDA SHEET. THE ISRAELI EQUIVALENT OF THE LYING NEW YORK TIMES.

  2. Unfortunate Matzav has a Goyish view on reality!! Where is the WEST BANK that a Jewish news outlet refers to in this article ???? A true Jewish news outlet would have written ” the Jewish population in the Judea & Samaria/Shomron will soon reach half a million.”

  3. West Bank? I may have an account there.

Otherwise, it’s a historically Jewish land, partially occupied by some very distant and quite violent cousins of ours, whose Biblical moniker is Pere Odom.
So, to those of our people who reside in the said areas, I will apply the posuk of
