Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Tuesday called on all Israelis to return to routine and “feel safe,” despite rising fears of Israeli-Arab violence and last month’s wave of terror attacks that left 11 Israelis dead, Ynet reports.

“Terrorist organizations want to disrupt our way of life, I call on the entire Israeli public to go to work, for a walk, to hang out,” said Bennett at the end of a security assessment with security forces in the West Bank, after the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and in light of heightened tensions in the area.

“So far, the IDF and security forces have thwarted more than 15 attacks and arrested 207 suspects,” Bennett said. “In addition, we located more than 400 suspects or people who had links to Islamic State and other extremist organizations. We are determined not to let the wave of terror pass without a response. [We intend] to fix what needs fixing.”

  1. Even if you include the murders by terrorists, Israel has a much lower homicide rate than does the US. Its gun control laws probably help.

    • Actually American gun control laws are petty strict. Most unlawful acts were with unlawful run ownership.
Whereas in Israel more people have guns and thereby (al pi teva) stopped terrorist attacks as has happened just two weeks ago

  2. Great, Naftali – please send your tax funded security guards my way and I also won’t have to let fear of terrorists disrupt my daily life.

  3. Not its gun control laws. That’s not what helps. First, it’s Hakadosh Baruch Hu, obviously. Second, the natural explanation would be that the percentage of the population there that has morals and actually cares about life is much greater than it is here.
