The group of terrorists who struck Brussels on March 22 had allegedly planned to mount an attack in Paris, according to Belgium’s Federal Prosecution Office.
The suspects were reportedly “surprised” by the speed of the investigation into the attack and went after Brussels instead.
The attacks in Brussels happened days after various raids and the arrest of Salah Abdeslam, which likely pushed the attackers into action. Read more.
