President Biden faced criticism after he implied that African American and Hispanic workers lacked “high school diplomas,” in yet another embarrassing verbal misstep. The 80-year-old president was discussing the economy at Prince George’s Community College in Maryland when this latest gaffe occurred.

In his televised remarks, Biden stated, “We’ve seen record lows in unemployment particularly — and I’ve focused on this my whole career — particularly for African Americans and Hispanic workers and veterans, you know, the workers without high school diplomas.” However, the White House transcript revealed that the word “and” should have separated African American, Hispanic workers, and veterans from those without high school diplomas. The corrected sentence should have read: “We’ve seen record lows in unemployment particularly — and I’ve focused on this my whole career — particularly for African Americans and Hispanic workers and veterans, you know, and the workers without high school diplomas.”

A clip of this verbal slip-up was shared on social media by the Republican National Committee, drawing swift criticism. Some labeled it as embarrassing, while others found it sad and infuriating. Some even criticized the president as being racist.

Biden’s latest mistake raises concerns about his mental fitness as he seeks a second term in office. Throughout his three years in office, he has made numerous gaffes. Last year, he asked for someone named Jackie during a speech, unaware that Jackie Walorski, an Indiana congresswoman, had tragically passed away in a car accident the previous month. Biden had previously expressed his condolences to her family.

He also faced controversy when he called for regime change in Russia following its invasion of Ukraine, a statement later denied by the White House, clarifying that he did not intend to suggest Vladimir Putin should be removed from power.

In July, Biden inaccurately estimated the COVID-19 death toll, initially stating that “over 100” Americans had died from the disease over three years, a figure later corrected to “over 1 million” in an official White House transcript.

Recently, Biden received criticism for claiming to have been at the World Trade Center site in New York City one day after the 9/11 attacks, conflicting with details in his autobiography that placed him in Washington, DC during that time.

  1. It’s a known fact that elderly people, just like very young children, are very open and honest about their true feelings. Joe Biden is an old time racist who hates blacks with a passion. Shame on the President.
