CUOMO: Hospitals Must Raise Capacity By At Least 50%

Governor Cuomo told the press today that a law will go into effect which will call on hospitals to increase capacity by at least 50%, with a goal of 100% for every hospital.

The Governor said he will strike out the regulations on beds and spacing limits to help hospitals reach this goal.

Cuomo also said that hospitals will no longer be allowed to perform elective non critical procedures which should open up 35% more space as well.
