Fivefold More Chareidim Since 1979

Figures publicized by the Chareidi Policy Research Institute reveal that the number of chareidim since 1979, when accurate data first became available, increased by 509% percent from 212,000 in 1979 to a current 1.29 million.

Chareidim now compris 12.9% percent of Israel’s population.

The number of the rest of Israel’s Jews and Arabs increased by only 135% percent during the past 44 years.
