Honda Fined $70M Over Safety Records

Honda was fined $70 million by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration today for failing to submit reports about injuries and fatalities.

Honda failed to report 1,729 death and injury claims to the government over the past 11 years.

The fine marks the largest financial penalty the federal agency has ever issued against an automaker. Honda also failed to report certain warranty and other claims. Read more at The New York Times.
