IDF Spokesman: ‘Sinwar Is Not Above Ground. Our Job Is To Kill Him’

In an update on Wednesday, IDF Spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari reported significant advancements in the IDF’s campaign against Hamas in Gaza. He detailed the encirclement of the region, with commando forces engaging in raids and combat operations against Hamas terrorists. Utilizing precise real-time intelligence, IDF soldiers have been valiantly eliminating terrorists, uncovering underground infrastructure, and neutralizing weaponry. Simultaneously, progress is noted in both the southern and northern Gaza Strip, with the 36th Division and the 162nd Division concentrating efforts on the Jabalya and Shuja’iyya areas. Over the past 48 hours, these divisions, alongside another in the east, have fiercely fought against terrorists, successfully breaching defensive lines in Jabalya, Shuja’iyya, and Khan Yunis. Close combat engagements have ensued as terrorists emerge from underground tunnels, with IDF forces gaining the upper hand. The IDF is committed to furthering these achievements in key areas, including Jabalya, Shuja’iyya, and the heart of Hamas’ influence in the Khan Yunis area.

Addressing the northern front, Hagari reported IDF attacks on a Hezbollah operational command center and associated terror infrastructure throughout the day. Responding to rocket launches into Israeli territory, IDF forces deployed fire towards the sources.

Hagari also discussed the Yemen situation, attributing Houthi rebel actions to regional terrorism directed, funded, and orchestrated by Iran. Highlighting the global impact across the region, talks between the IDF and the United States Central Command are reportedly underway, aiming to establish task forces in the Red Sea and other areas to address the issue. The IDF asserts a high level of preparedness in both defensive and offensive capacities across all sectors.
