After a month of being in critical condition at Shaare Tzedek Hospital in Yerushalayim, doctors now say that there has been significant improvement in the medical condition of Hagaon Rav Boruch Shmuel Deutsch, Rosh Yeshivas Be’er Mordechai.
Rav Deutsch’s condition has improved and he has begun communicating with those around him.
As was reported, Rav Deutsch underwent medical treatment before Purim at Ichilov Hospital, and the Rosh Yeshiva was released to his home in Yerushalayim, but his condition began to deteriorate at home and he needed respiratory assistance. On the Motzoei Shabbos after Purim, Rav Deutsch was transported from his home to Shaare Tzedek Hospital due to a severe deterioration in his condition.
Tuesday night, Hagaon Rav Tzvi Friedman, close friend of Rav Deutsch, went to be mevaker choleh Rav Deutsch and the two spoke.
All are asked to daven for Rav Boruch Shmuel Hakohein ben Leah.
