Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Brig. Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi, the spokesman of Iran’s armed forces, said in a video that was posted on Iran’s Basij News Agency on Nov. 28 that his country’s “biggest goal” is to remove the “regime that occupies Jerusalem” from the map.

According to the report by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), Shekarchi also said that Iran considers the regimes that “call themselves Muslims”—namely, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates—as helping “this fake [Zionist] regime.”

“We will not back down even a single millimeter from [our goal] of erasing it from the geographical [map] of the world, even if we get chopped up into pieces. This is our biggest ideal,” he said.

Added Shekarchi: “This occupying regime has taken over an important part of the Islamic world.” JNS.ORG

  1. Notice how he specifically mentions the regime, not the people.

Had the Zionists not invaded, and had the Zionists gone to the UN afterwards and said “we never should have invaded, so send in western troops to take over”, then all of this (and so much more) would never have happened.

  2. Every dictatorial regime requires a deadly enemy, against whom they “protect” their own people, to retain power on the basis of irrational fears.
For Hitler, it were the Jews
    For Stalin – the capitalists
For Castro and Chavez- the Americans
For the ayatoilets there are TWO enemies – the Great Satan across the ocean, and the lesser one, few streets away, which keeps prospering, while the Iranian people are sinking lower and lower into self caused misery.
Think about it – the entire raison d’être of the Islamic Republic is to destroy someone else, rather than to achieve something for itself.
