Israel: Number Of Businesses Filing For Bankruptcy Soars By 75%

In June, the number of Israeli businesses filing for bankruptcy Israel soared by 75 percent against the previous year, the county’s Justice Ministry revealed in a report published Sunday.

In June 2020, 2,038 businesses applied for bankruptcy, while in June 2019, the figure stood at 1,165.

According to the publication, Israeli restaurants, cafes and bars, as well as companies working in tourism and events sectors, were the ones worst-hit in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
