Israel registered 1,819 new COVID-19 coronavirus infections on Thursday, Health Ministry reported Friday, breaking its previous record day-on-day increase.
With 29,504 tests conducted on Thursday, the positive test ratio stands at about 6.16 percent.
The number of active cases in the country climbed over the 25,000 mark, with 583 patients hospitalized. Among those, 58 require artificial lung ventilation, and 213 are in a serious state.
The death toll in the country rose to 387 overnight.
