Naftali Bennett, head of Israel’s right-wing Yamina party, said on Sunday he would not join a coalition spearheaded by opposition chief Yair Lapid.
In an interview with Channel 20, Yamina’s chief wrote and signed a statement that included two key pledges.
One was to reject a government that would be led by the Yesh Atid head, even if it includes a rotational arrangement.
The other was to not join a government that would require the support of Mansour Abbas, head of the Ra’am party — a breakaway faction of the predominantly Arab Joint List.
