The Labour Party has refused to expel Ken Livingstone, the former mayor of London, over an extraordinary series of outbursts alleging that Adolf Hitler supported Zionism in the 1930s, The Guardian reports. Jonathan Arkush, the president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, said the party’s failure to expel Livingstone meant Labour’s relationship with the Jewish community had reached an all-time low.

A Labour disciplinary panel ruled that he should be suspeneded from running in any election for the party, but did not expel him as a member. Livingstone denies that his remarks were anti-Semitic. Read more at THE GUARDIAN.

  1. Ken Livingstone is an odious antisemite. Unfortunately, the far left has increasingly accepted and even adopted positions that are (at best) described as unfriendly toward Israel and Jews in general.
