They’re endorsing zeldin who’s a republican, but not the Republican running against this guy for Congress. The reason is that zeldin is pro-yeshiva which is important for a governor, but this guy being in Congress has nothing to do with yeshivos so it’s ok to vote for him as he’s been helpful in other ways.
Remember when some chareidim voted for Hillary? There’s a reason for it. They did it on purpose even though they knew she won’t win. These politicians don’t know the difference between one group of Jews and the other. They all look the same and support each other. Of course groups of Jews living in certain neighborhoods will be admired by the politician they endorsed, but they will not mistreat other Jews because they know that Jews stick up for each other.
I’m confused? So he isn’t anti-Yeshivos but he is married to a man which is an abomination in the Torah and one of the 7 Noahide laws. Is that something frum yidden should be supporting? So should we vote for him or not?
Do the rabbonim know that Maloney leads a destructive personal life that is destroying all morals of the American society (if he leads such a life openly and officially (he is kivyachol “married”) then he promotes such morals)? I think that is reason enough to endorse his opponent.
I’m a bit confused as to what the letter is meant to say. Is it a compliment? A criticism? Can someone explain clearly what’s going on?

Maloney is married to a man. Why is it okay to vote for that?
Its not, his life choices are abhorrent to any Torah true Jew.
It’s trying to put out a fire started before it burns down the wrong bridge.
it is to let him know that the frum community supports him and his previous actions
Is it Mutar to vote for Zeldin’s running mate for lieutenant governor?

False.
They are more in tune to the subtleties than you realize
Yes
It’s a lot better and moral than to vote for any Democrat!

Cutting off the nose to spite the face .so very well said
Intermarriage is one of the worst things a Yid can do. A terrible chet.
Sean Patrick Maloney is married to a man. How can Jews, Chasidim endorse him???
We vote for whomever is best for our community needs, not their lifestyle choice.
Spoken like a true goy.
Stop reeking with desecration of heaven
That’s his personal life, not his legislative philosophy and agenda.
Unfortunately you are wrong it is also maloneys legislative agenda, he sponsored multiple toeivah Bill’s including one which zeldin voted for twice
Oh really? As if his voting record is the opposite

With all this being said, I am glad I cannot vote in NY.
The blasè attitudes of past years have caught us with this disaster of choices. Some have been warning for many years. Might be best just to stay home
