Man Injured by Rockthrowing Near Hizme Keeps Driving To Russian Compound For Medical Treatment

Earlier today a driver was injured by a rock that was thrown near the Hizme checkpoint.

The man kept driving until he reached the Russian Compound in Jerusalem where he called for emergency services.

United Hatzalah volunteers treated him at the Russian Compound and he was moderately injured.

United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Yechiel Stern was one of the first responders at the scene and relayed: “When I arrived at the scene I found a car that had been pelted with stones and a driver who had collapsed next to the car and required medical attention. Together with other EMS volunteers who arrived, I provided medical treatment for the man’s injuries at the scene before he was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment. He suffered injuries to his head and upper body. The driver said that he was injured in a rock-throwing incident near the Hizme junction and kept driving until he reached the Russian Compound where he began to feel ill and collapsed.”
