That’s a bargain! In Israel the fine is 1000 shekel for this offense! (It was 500 but they increased it to 1000)
Only in certain neighborhoods. There are neighborhoods that never bought into the corona nonsense – think of Shevet Levi – and no police bothers them.
Can it be written off as a business expense?
No fine for jumping the turnstile (without paying). No fine for littering or urinating on the trains or station. But for the crime of paying your fare, but not covering your face, a fine!
Not nearly enough:- MTA should only be accessible to the vaccinated, and must require Green passport before every entry into subway system.
Go jump in the lake. Baby. Scaredy cat.
I agree. What about the thousands who beat their fare by jumping the turnstile or by walking through the gates? Will they have to show their cards and wear masks? What about the homeless who sleep all sprawled out on the trains or stations – will they get fined for not wearing masks, but continue not to get fined for urinating in public?
