New York City Mayor Eric Adams said on Sunday that GOP governors who are busing migrants to Democratic-led cities including his own were using the action to cover up “the erosion of basic human rights,” The Hill reports.

During an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” anchor Jake Tapper asked Adams if he wanted to share a message with GOP governors such as Greg Abbott of Texas and Ron DeSantis of Florida, both of whom directed busing migrants to various cities in the U.S., including at least one busload of people who were dropped off at the vice president’s home.

“Well, I think it’s a message for the entire country,” Adams told Tapper. “You see, this is their way of covering up what many people have been really concerned about the erosion of basic human rights. We’re seeing crisis calls for coordination.” Adams said New York City received up to six new buses of migrants on Sunday morning, and while resources are stretched thin, he said they would continue to provide for the migrants.

“We received a minimum of six buses early this morning. Over 11,000 individuals, asylum-seekers and migrants have come to the city already,” Adams told Tapper. “It is time for us to coordinate this humanitarian crisis that our country is facing.”

  1. “It is time for us to coordinate this humanitarian crisis that our country is facing.” Exactly that is why we have laws, immigrations laws and procedures. Tell the president to start following them.

  2. What a disgusting partisan comment that is brazenly dishonest. How dare Adams make such an accusation! Based on what? Oh, I get it. It’s the Democrat Party narrative. Well, I was not a great supporter of Adams, but I now promise to never support him at all. He’s not the mayor of NYC. He’s just another partisan hack doing the lying and immoral duties of the Biden administration and the rest of the Democrat thugs. May they all be judged on Rosh Hashanah for their consistent evil.

  3. On one hand he shouldn’t be complaining about immigrants being dumped off on him when is leading a sanctuary city.

OTOH if all he is asking from Texas and Florida is that before they send over immigrants they should let him know first he is correct

  4. These politicians don’t have any common sense in them. Do I have a basic right to walk in the street and not be mugged, spat, harassed, assaulted? Or do they get to chose which so called rights supersede the others? Time to get rid of all our “Askunim” and vote for help that will affect us personally. We keep on voting for the politicians endorsed by askunim, yet we are always deeper in the drain. Where are all our askunim when the arurim at the nyt vilify us all? I’m not even talking about where they might have a point. Their biases render them irrelevant. They didn’t do any honest reporting. It’s time for people to get up and investigate the nyt, and at every infraction, injustice, or whoever commits any wrong at the nyt it should be publicized so as to get the public to despise them.

  5. Being that Adams refused and refuses to accept Abbots repeated offer for a tour of the southern border to see what Abbott is dealing with, he has no business complaining about Abbott not coordinating with him.

  6. What about the erosion of law abiding government?
The Democrats are opening the borders illegally to let illegals swamp the country.
The people whose civil rights are being trampled are American people who are here legally and who have gone through the rigorous naturalization process to become American citizens and to be eligible for government benefits.

  7. If this affermative action Mayor is serious about keeping these illegal migrant bums out of NYC, he should end his ILLEGAL Sanctuary City!
