One Dead, Several Injured In Dutch Tram Shooting, Police Investigate Possible ‘Terrorist Motive’

Several people were wounded and one person was killed Monday when a gunman opened fire aboard a commuter train in the Dutch city of Utrecht, according to local reports.

Police anti-terrorism units and helicopters responded to the scene at 24 Oktoberplein, local media reported.

The shooter may have had a ‘terrorist motive,’ police spokesman Joost Lanshage said.
