On Sunday, the family and talmidim of Rav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi zt”l visited his kever on Har Hazeisim in Yerushalayim for his shloshim.
At the kever, a matzeivah was erected with the following inscription:
פ”נ אדוננו מורינו ורבינו הגדול, עטרת תפארת ישראל, עמוד התורה מרן ראש הישיבה רבי ברוך מרדכי אזרחי בן רבי ישראל זצוקללה”ה
בעל ה”ברכת מרדכי” על הש”ס, תורה מועדים ומוסר
ראש ישיבות “עטרת ישראל” כולל “יד מאיר”, ומייסד תנועת “בני תורה”
ובהן העמיד תלמידים לאלפים ורבבות בכל קצוות תבל
כתרה של תורה רכש בלילות כבימים, בהתמדה, בעמלה ובעומק עיונה
ממעמידי עולם התורה והישיבות בדרך המסורה מדורות
רומם לגדלות ויצר שאיפות ומושגים של עליה בתורה ויראה
דעת ומוסר הנחיל לרבים והורה דרך ישרה לקרובים ולרחוקים
כבוד התורה רומם והעצים בתורתו, בהנהגתו ובכל הליכותיו
יישר אורחות דורו והאיר פני עולם בשיעוריו ובמאמריו.

“Here lies our master, teacher, and great rebbi, the crown of Yisroel’s glory, the pillar of Torah, the rosh yeshiva Rav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi, son of Rav Yisroel, may his righteous memory be a blessing.”
The author of the “Birkas Mordechai” on the Talmud, Torah, festivals, and ethics,
Head of Yeshiva Ateres Yisroel, including Yad Meir, and founder of the “Bnei Torah” movement,
He established students by the thousands and tens of thousands across the globe,
The crown jewel of Torah, he acquired in the nights like days, with diligence, toil, and profound intellectual pursuit,
A pillar of the eternal world of Torah and yeshivas in the traditional path of generations,
He elevated generations in Torah knowledge, values, and concepts, instilling aspirations and ideas of progress in Torah and awe,
Knowledge and ethics he bequeathed to many, guiding a straight path for the near and far,
He elevated the honor of Torah and magnified its teachings, in his leadership and all his ways,
He straightened the paths of his generation and illuminated the world with his lessons and writings.
The lights were extinguished, and he ascended to the higher yeshiva on the bitter day of the 11th of Cheshvan, 5784.
