It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rabbi Yirmiyahu (Jerry) Birnbaum z”l.
Reb Yirmiyahu resided in Flatbush for many years and relocated to Lakewood, NJ a number of years ago, settling in the Pine River Village neighborhood.
Reb Yirmiyahu was a brilliant talmid chochom who had wide-ranging yedios in Torah. His ahavas haTorah and grasp of Torah could be seen in shiurim he delivered and any conversation people had with him in Torah.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hindy Birnbaum, and their children and grandchildren, bnei and bnos Torah.
