A great gadol and a real mensch.
Well deserved.
Rabbi Dr. Aharon Lichtenstein earned his “Dr.” with a Ph.D. in English at Harvard. He often uses his understanding of literature to reinforce Torah points.
The Lichtensteins have three other children not mentioned in the article who are serving the Torah world. Rabbi Mosheh Lichtenstein, is *rosh yeshiva* of Yeshivat Har Etzion. I don’t know if he directly succeeded his father but he holds the same title. Another son, Rabbi Mayer Lichtenstein, teaches at Yeshivat Otniel in Eretz Yisrael. Their daughter Esti Rosenberg is the director of the Migdal Oz seminary in Gush Etzion.
Matzav is soo insecure. He may have studied under rav hutner but he is a Talmud of rabbi soloveitchik
Which sefer is he getting the award for?
They have other children who are roshei yeshiva as well. Their son rav moshe is a rosh yeshiva in har etzion

Also for his hashkofoh seforim. I think there are 4 or 5. And for his many articles in Gemoro.
