President-elect Donald Trump’s wife and young son will not be moving to the White House with him when he is inaugurated as the 45th president in January, according to a report. The New York Post reports that Melania Trump and Barron Trump will stay at their penthouse apartment in Trump Tower in New York City so that Barron can continue attending his private school.
“Melania is extremely close to Barron, and they have become closer during the campaign,” a source close to the transition team told the Post. “The campaign has been difficult for Barron, and she is really hoping to keep disruption to a minimum.” Melania Trump will reportedly travel to Washington as needed.
