Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., has said he would support a Democrat over embattled Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore in Alabama. Now, Flake is putting his money where his mouth is.
On Tuesday, the Arizonan tweeted a photograph of a $100 check he wrote to the campaign of Moore’s opponent, Democrat Doug Jones.
Hurray for him. At least some people are willing to take a stand for morality. Unlike all the Trumpets drinking the Rush-Hannity-Bannon kool aid drinkers who will excuse anything that an anti-establishment candidate will do.

It’s not that simple. Many feel that Moore is an odious, disgusting individual, but in an evenly split Senate they desperately need his seat to stay in Republican hands so President Trump’s agenda can be passed.
That’s exactly what most of us felt about Trump himself. So we vote in one guy (Trump) to prevent the Dems from taking over, then to protect his agenda we need to vote in another slimy guy. So we keep on voting against our values – to protect our values?
“So we keep on voting against our values – to protect our values?”
Short answer: Yes.
Longer answer: Pretty much every vote is a compromise. Even decent, sincere candidates can have positions that conflict with the Torah, kal vachomer candidates like Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and their ilk. These aren’t rabonim we’re looking at, they’re secular, ambitious people who’ve likely stepped on many toes to get where they are and may well be morally bankrupt. The best we can do is choose one who’s less objectionable and will at least side with us on the issues we consider most important.
We also need to factor in how vital it is for “our” candidate to win. If the Senate was split 60-40 either way, Moore’s election wouldn’t have nearly the import it actually does and we’d be freer to vote our consciences. The fact that it’s so close means that there’s a high cost to be paid for voting for the Democrat. Remember, even President Trump supported Moore’s opponent in the primary and is only now supporting Moore, IMO simply because Trump needs a friendly Senate.
I guess Flaky likes higher taxes and higher crime for the middle class. What a guy. It’s a good thing this turncoat is leaving.

Don’t you realize that all the allegations are made up? After all, Hannity said they’re fake, so they must be fake.
Morality ?? So you believe everything out there. Its all politics!! This guy is a fool . Arizona would bounce him out now if they could.
What a flake!
