Rudy Giuliani, once America’s mayor, is now trapped in purgatory. Having filed for bankruptcy after a jury determined he should fork over $148 million for allegedly defaming two Georgia election workers, the former Trump lawyer is far from out of the woods, facing a bevy of pending court cases, not least of which is the Fulton County racketeering case that names him as a co-defendant alongside his ex-boss.

As such, he’s been gasping to friends about the “nightmare world” he’s living in, according to the New York Post.

At Mar-a-Lago last week for a Republican congressional hopeful’s fundraiser, Giuliani was also overheard saying that “he wakes up everyday and can’t believe it’s real,” according to an eavesdropping Post source.

The insider said that there have been “non-stop fundraisers” at the Florida estate lately, with sometimes as many as two or three separate benefits being held in one night. Read more.

  1. Rudy Giuliani was an excellent mayor, guiding New York City’s renaissance from the awful days of the Dinkins administration to a low-crime law-and-order city. It’s a shame that he went off the rails when he joined the Trump crazy train. After eight destructive years of hard-left Bill de Blasio and DAs who refuse to prosecute, NYC desperately needs someone like Rudy to make the city livable again. Mayor Adams isn’t a lefty loon like de Blasio, but he doesn’t seem to have the drive, determination and forcefulness needed to turn the city around.

    • Actually it was Dinkins who hired six thousand new NYPD officers which allowed Guiliani and Bill Bratton to lower violent crime rates. But Giuliani fired Bratton because Bratton was getting too much credit De Blasio re hired Bratton and homicide rates wee much lower than Giuliani ever gave us. And under Adams they remain lower than they ever were under Giuliani.

      • “Dinkins who hired six thousand new NYPD officers…” True. “Safe streets, safe city” was a Dinkins initiative.
“which allowed Guiliani and Bill Bratton to lower violent crime rates” False. Allowing cops to enforce the law, “Broken windows”, “Stop and frisk” and other initiatives that are falsely called racist were the biggest reasons crime dropped.
“Giuliani fired Bratton because Bratton was getting too much credit” False. Bratton resigned. He and Giuliani clashed, and it wasn’t the first time Bratton’s big mouth (and ego) ended with him leaving a job. His successor, Howard Safir, was equally successful, without the clashes and abrasiveness that characterized Bratton’s tenure.
“De Blasio re hired Bratton and homicide rates were much lower than Giuliani ever gave us” True, but (extremely and intentionally) deceptive. Crime rates always moved up or down slowly. After Giuliani took office, crime went down slowly but surely. Mike Bloomberg (who you didn’t mention) continued most of Giuliani’s policies, leading to continuing drops in the murder rate. Under de Blasio’s willful neglect, things weren’t too bad at first, but the last couple of years especially crime rates exploded.

It’s frustrating to debate someone who’s so thoroughly deceptive, distorting, and dishonest. You present only one side of a debate, omit key facts in a way that distorts things, throw in the most uncharitable interpretations possible , and present opinions as facts. If Marjorie Taylor Greene were a Democrat, she’d be you.

      • Crime is through the roof. Cops today are afraid to work. A cop was shot and killed by a career criminal. A career criminal on the streets why? Because of your democrat party being animals and pro criminal. This low life animal votes for the same people you vote for. As Bill O’reiley said the other day, according to law the mentally unstable aren’t allowed to vote. thus many who vote shouldn’t be allowed to vote. He was referring to crazies like you and the others that insist on voting for crooks, are clearly unstable and shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

  2. A Shanda v’cherpa to one of America’s greatest heroes promulgated by the most corrupt judiciary in the entire history of the US.
