Great excitement is being felt among Sanz-Klausenburger chassidim in Eretz Yisroel ahead of a surprise visit by the Sanz-Klausenburger Rebbe, who is traveling from his home in Boro Park for a brief visit ahead of the Yomim Noraim, marking his first trip to Eretz Yisroel in two years.
Immediately after landing today, he was scheduled to travel to Tzefas, where he will stay at the home of the family of noted philanthropist and baal chessed Rav Shalom Fisher z”l.
The highlight of the visit is expected to take place this coming Shabbos, Parshas Shoftim, when hundreds of Sanz-Klausenburger chassidim from communities throughout Eretz Yisroel are expected to travel to Tzefas to spend Shabbos in the presence of the Rebbe.
The tefillos and tishen will be held at the Tomer Devorah complex in Tzefas’ Old City, with preparations underway to accommodate the large number of chassidim expected to attend.
During his packed visit, the Rebbe is scheduled to receive chassidim seeking his counsel and brachos. He will also participate in several family simchos connected to the chassidus.
Among them will be the wedding of a grandson of Reb Azriel Tauber, a longtime confidant of the Rebbe and a leader of the Sanz-Klausenburger community in Eretz Yisroel. The Rebbe is also expected to attend a wedding in the family of philanthropist Reb Eliyahu Schlossberg, one of the prominent supporters of the chassidus.
As part of the visit, the Rebbe will travel to Netanya together with a large group of chassidim to visit the kever of his father, the Shefa Chaim of Sanz-Klausenburg zt”l.
A special team of askanim is overseeing preparations for the Rebbe’s visit, including transportation, accommodations and arrangements for the large tefillos and gatherings expected during his stay.
