Thousands of Sanzer Chassidim came from all over Eretz Yisroel to join the Rebbe of Sanz for Selichos in Kiryat Sanz in Netanya on Motzoei Shabbos. Before Selichos, the rebbe delivered divrei hisorerus.

In his powerful drasha, the rebbe shook the hearts of his followers and tearfully mentioned the situation in which Klal Yisroel finds itself – the troubles and disasters that one hears about every day, which alone would be enough to wake up any heart, without the need for a wake-up call

With a loud cry, the rebbe said: “Every day we hear about such terrible stories. So many orphans this year. So many widowers and widowers. Imagine a house where the mother is seriously ill. The family is falling apart. A house where the child is sick – all life stops. People who were the happiest…suddenly their whole life turns upside down. Accidents, tragedies, illnesses. In adults, young people, and children. We go to levayos, we sigh for a day or two, and after that…what? We go back to normal. …This is the biggest trouble. It’s like we are in a coma.”

The rebbe later added: “Why are we waiting for the shofar? Why didn’t we wake up from the sounds all year? How could our heart not be moved by the blood that has been spilled so far? In these terrible days, we must take it upon ourselves to improve our ways, to wake up.”

The rebbe called on the Chassidim to add more study of Torah in the following days and during the Yomim Tovim.

  1. 1 thing is patently clear & obvious:- If the Sanzer Rebbe had transmitted his timely message in עברית or/& English, his message would have reached a considerably larger audience, and would have achieved far larger desired effect compliance.
