The Gaza-based Hamas terrorist organization recently approached Qatar with a request to convey a message seeking compensation from Israel for not getting involved in the recent rocket war launched by Islamic Jihad.

You read that right. They want a reward for taking a break from terror.

A Palestinian Arab source, cited in a Yisrael Hayom report, revealed that Hamas demanded Israel to expand its economic and civilian initiatives to alleviate some of the burdens faced by Gazans. Hamas considered this compensation for the suffering it endured during Operation Shield and Arrow, when Israel was terrorized by Islamic Jihad rockets. Notably, Hamas did not intervene during the operation.

Among the demands made by Hamas are an increase in the number of Gazans permitted to work in Israel, extended hours of electricity for Gaza residents, and a higher allowance of merchandise and materials with dual purposes to enter Gaza. Israel imposes restrictions on the entry of materials that can be used for terrorist activities.

It is worth noting that the Palestinian Authority and Gaza owe millions of shekels in unpaid electric bills to Israel. Meanwhile, Gaza officials exploit the allocated electricity quota for personal use, enjoying uninterrupted power supply, while ordinary Gazans are left with only a few hours of electricity per day.

Sources in Gaza stated, “Hamas is not currently seeking another war, but they do want to receive compensation from Israel for the price they paid in the last battle. They faced criticism from the public for their perceived withdrawal from the fighting, and were labeled as ‘traitors.'”

The sources also mentioned that Gaza’s response to the Flag March in Yerushalayim will be a parade held today in Gaza. A campaign has been initiated in Gaza, urging residents to hold their own “Flag March,” displaying the Palestinian Authority flag.

  1. Israel said the Ben Gvir would compensate them with one-way tickets to the Abyss, with a high-speed rocket.

Meir Kahana has all lined up for them their reward of 70.

  2. I think Israel should indeed “reward” them. It may pay in the long run.
If they do that it will open doors for negotiations on terror based groups eliminations.
You behave – we will pay.
    Call it security payments.

  3. NOthing new.
It is the Mafia asking for protection money.
If you don’t pay it, they will break your windows and prove you need it.
