Journalists are strangely lacking curiosity about some mysterious ways Democrat Joe Biden pulled off some “electoral jujitsu” in this presidential election, according to The Federalist’s J.B. Shurk.

“Surely the journalist class should be intrigued by the historic implausibility of Joe Biden’s victory,” according to Shurk’s outline of five improbabilities, breaking down this “unique political voodoo.”

“That they are not is curious, to say the least.”

Biden “pulled so many rabbits out of his hat” to potentially become the oldest elected president in American history, should Trump fail in his legal challenges to the election tallies of several key state. Most notable are these:

1. 80M Votes

Trump gained 10 million more votes in 2020 than he saw in his 2016 election victory, but that pales in comparison to Biden’s record gains in defeating the first “incumbent president in nearly a century and a half” who has gained votes in a reelection campaign.

“Candidate Joe Biden was so effective at animating voters in 2020 that he received a record number of votes, more than 15 million more than Barack Obama received in his reelection of 2012,” Shurk wrote.

“Proving how sharp his political instincts are, the former VP managed to gather a record number of votes while consistently trailing President Trump in measures of voter enthusiasm. Biden was so savvy that he motivated voters unenthusiastic about his campaign to vote for him in record numbers.”

2. Overcoming Bellwether County Losses

“Amazingly, he managed to secure victory while also losing in almost every bellwether county across the country,” Shurk wrote. “No presidential candidate has been capable of such electoral jujitsu until now.”

Biden might be the first U.S. president in 60 years to lose the bellwether states of Ohio and Florida. Remarkably, Shurk noted, “despite national polling giving Biden a lead in both states, he lost Ohio by eight points and Florida by more than three.”

  1. “while consistently trailing President Trump in measures of voter enthusiasm”

Ronald Reagan trailed Walter Mondale in measures of voter enthusiasm.

“losing in almost every bellwether county across the country”

That is because he flipped a lot of formerly Republican counties. Chesterfield County VA hadn’t voted Democratic in a Presidential election since 1948. Chester County PA voted Democratic for only the fourth time in 140 years. Orange County CA used to be THE home of conservative Republicans; it voted Democratic for the second Presidential election in a row after not having voted Democratic since 1936. There are examples of this all over the US. And these are larger than the bellweather counties.

“Biden underperformed Hillary Clinton in every major metro area around the country, save for Milwaukee, Detroit, Atlanta and Philadelphia.”

Precisely the four places that Biden targeted in order to flip those four states. Massive phone bank operations and massive tv and radio ads. He didn’t waste his money running ads in Washington DC the way the stupid Trump campaign did.

“they appear to have swept them all”

Had they flipped them all, they would have flipped the House. But that didn’t happen. New Hampshire’s House of Representatives has flipped six times in the past 15 years. Prior to 2006 it had been Republican since 1924. In New York, Democrats appear to have made significant gains in the legislature.

    “Trump’s Primary Performance Was Legendary”

And he now joins John Quincy Adams and Benjamin Harrison as the only Presidents to twice lose the popular vote. His general election strategy was to energize his bigoted base of supporters. He succeeded, getting more votes than any candidate prior to this year. But that strategy of bigotry and divisiveness enraged far more Americans than it attacted; Biden won more votes than any person in history and his electoral vote margin is the same as the margin Trump called a ‘landslide’.

“bigoted base of supporters” … “strategy of bigotry and divisiveness”.

The Left have been throwing around that accusation of Trump and his administration, but as a neutral outsider I honestly don’t see it in the GOP nor in Trump, and certainly at least not in any of his public official statements. If anything the Biden administration appears to me to be far more guilty of expressing sociological intolerances, certainly of having a far more “bigoted base of supporters”!

Could you please direct me to some youtube vids of Trump or his administration being so bigoted and divisive please?
