[Update below.] A stabbing attack carried out by a Palestinian terrorist early Friday morning in Maale Adumim has left one person in critical condition.
Paramedics of Magen David Adom arrived at the scene to treat a 40-year-old man, who was stabbed in the upper body and suffered serious wounds.
The victim was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Yerushalayim, unconscious and in critical condition. He is currently on a respirator.
A knife and an ax were found at the scene of the attack.
Paramedics said that they weren’t informed of the attack until after more than ten minutes had elapsed.
The terrorist got away and police are warning that he is armed and dangerous.
Update, 9:15 a.m. IL: The victim, a 48-year-old security guard who was stabbed in the vestibule of Maale Adumim’s mall, underwent surgery at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Yerushalayim.
He is in critical condition and in need of rachamei Shomayim.
The attacker is still at large and security forces have shut down the town of Maale Adumim to Palestinian workers at least until Sunday.
