This evening, two Jews walking along Rechov Hanevi’im in Yerushalayim near Shaar Shechem were attacked by an Arab, who tried to stab them with a knife that he pulled out of a bag. He was unsuccessful, boruch Hashem. The Jews were able to flee, unscathed, after the Arab dropped the knife and fled as well.
Police were contacted and immediately canvassed the area. In under an hour, the Arab terrorist – a Palestinian from Anata in his twenties – was apprehended.
Yerushalayim police chief Doron Turgeman and other police personnel were at the scene.
Security has been stepped up in the area.
