Trump: I Have Restored Law and Order ‘Except in Democrat-Run Cities’

President Donald Trump was questioned Tuesday night on his vow four years ago at the Republican National Convention to restore law and order to America.

“I have, except in Democrat-run cities,” Trump responded at town hall event hosted by ABC News. “Look, we have laws, we have to go by the laws,” Trump said, adding that he can’t just call in the National Guard without invoking the Insurrection Act.

Otherwise, the president must receive a request by the governor.
