When asked questions about the allegations against Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump told reporters on Tuesday that he thought that it was a “scary time” for men in the U.S., the Daily Beast reports.

“It’s a very scary time for young men in America, where you can be guilty of something that you may not be guilty of,” Trump said. “What’s happening here has much more to do than even the appointment of a Supreme Court Justice… You can be somebody who was perfect your entire life, and someone could accuse you of something.”

The president added, “Now, you’re guilty until proven innocent.” Trump also said he thought Kavanaugh was being “very brutally treated” over the allegations made against him. The president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., expressed similar sentiments Monday when he said he was afraid for his sons more than his daughters.

  1. No, Mr. President, it’s not Kavanaugh they’re after but you, President Trump, the one who stole the Presidency from Hillary when it was her turn as she was promised by the CIA! Had they been after Kavanaugh they’d have accused him in 2003 when Bush nominated him.
It’s the same CIA and Deep State who are trying to assassinate you are doing everything to stop “your” nomination.

  2. This quote is being misrepresented all over the internet today. I’m no fan of the president, but to be fair, the question posed to him by a journalist specifically asked him what he thought of the situation for “young men in America” and so he phrased his response the same way. I saw the whole interview, but those who have a political ax to grind are cutting the question off to make it look like the president has no concern for the women involved. That’s called intellectual dishonesty in my book.
