Trump to GOP on Biden: ‘Impeach the Bum or Fade Into Oblivion’

In a Truth Social post on Sunday, Donald Trump urged House Republicans to initiate an impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden, asserting that Biden was involved in corrupt activities.

“The Republicans in Congress, though well-meaning, keep talking about an Impeachment ‘Inquiry’ on Crooked Joe Biden. Look, the guy got bribed, he paid people off, and he wouldn’t give One Billion Dollars to Ukraine unless they ‘got rid of the Prosecutor.’ Biden is a Stone-Cold Crook.

“You don’t need a long INQUIRY to prove it, it’s already proven. These lowlifes impeached me TWICE (I WON!), and Indicted me FOUR TIMES — For NOTHING! Either IMPEACH the BUM or fade into OBLIVION. THEY DID IT TO US!’

Although House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., has yet to commit to a potential impeachment vote or set a timeline for action, some House Republicans are eager to pursue claims of financial misconduct involving Hunter Biden and to focus on President Biden, according to Spectrum News.

Concurrently, McCarthy is advocating for a short-term spending bill to extend government operations past September’s end. This approach aims to ensure the continuity of investigations into Hunter Biden.

McCarthy’s proposal directly appeals to conservatives concerned that a bipartisan agreement with Senate Democrats would not achieve adequate spending reductions. The temporary measure seeks to create a space for negotiating a more comprehensive budget arrangement before mandatory spending cuts, which both parties oppose, take effect in the upcoming year.

During an interview with Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” McCarthy argued that the information amassed thus far logically leads to an impeachment inquiry. He maintained that such an inquiry would provide Congress with the highest legal authority to access the necessary information for a successful House impeachment.

Even if the House were to impeach President Biden, the Senate, controlled by Democrats, is unlikely to remove him from office.
