Deep in the Negev, Israel’s UBQ startup has developed a new process which turns garbage left after recycling into a useful material.

The company’s scientists and engineers developed the “UBQ Conversion Reactor System,” which converts 30% of waste left after recycling (mostly organic waste, dirty plastics, paper, cardboard and diapers) into a patented material that can be used to manufacture a variety of products instead of burning it.

UBQ hopes to solve the problem of dealing with 11.2 billion tons of solid waste collected annually worldwide.
