TRAGIC: Two construction workers, both men in their thirties, died and several were injured when part of a scaffolding collapsed on a 12-story building under construction in Givat Ze’ev, north of Yerushalayim.
The men became buried under the fallen scaffold on Harakefet Street.
One 32-year-old worker was was taken to Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus in Yerushalayim with injuries to his abdoman.
Walid Amro, a construction worker at the building site, told Channel 13 that workers had told the site manager that the scaffold was not secure and was fragile but that the concerns were ignored.
