US, International Troops To Stay In Afghanistan Beyond May Deadline

American and other international troops plan to stay in Afghanistan beyond the May deadline envisaged by Taliban’s deal with the United States, several US and NATO officials said in recent days, a move that could escalate tensions with the Taliban demanding full withdrawal.

The administration of then-President Donald Trump signed an agreement with the Taliban in February 2020 calling for the withdrawal of all foreign troops by May in return for the Islamic terror group fulfilling certain security guarantees.

“Conditions have not been met,” an unnamed NATO official told Reuters on Sunday. “And with the new US administration, there will be tweaks in the policy, the sense of hasty withdrawal which was prevalent will be addressed and we could see a much more calculated exit strategy.”

  1. We can stand this but Mr. Biden should fit more terse faced gain. The Afghani long gut is a hard thing. No junk no kingdom. Just Halal if they are good to their family. It should have rash but simple improvement. Let the men solve.
