A truck driver was sentenced to 110 years in prison for a 2019 crash that left four people dead and several others injured in Colorado. By Friday, more than 3 million people had signed a petition, asking Colorado Governor Jared Polis to grant clemency to Rogel Aguilera-Mederos, or commutation for time served. 1. It’s too bad for him that he’s not a citizen of New York City. As a sanctuary city resident he would get an apology from DeBlasio and Hochul for the racist judge, and set him free to kill others.

  2. To bob Do you even know what this guy did? Get your facts straight before you Blable. He killed in an accident. No he wasn’t a murderer.

  3. I read up on this case and such an overreach by the judge and the court. He couldve easily gotten away with it with manslaughter.

  4. The trucker said malfunctioning brakes caused the crash, but prosecutors say that he was at fault for decisions like not steering the truck to a runaway ramp.

Even assuming the prosecutors are right 110 years in jail does sound outrageous.

I had the brakes fail on me once. It’s not so easy to calculate what will cause the least damage under the circumstance. I steered into a tree and totaled my car . Had I not been wearing a seat belt I could have gotten killed. I totally didn’t realize what would happen at the time
