Father was not looking!
Driver stopped and waited, father and son went away.
Obnoxious behavior.
Headline should have screemed “negligent father almost kills himself and son!”
What I see is a Jewish father and son jay walking in middle of the street and after the driver stopped his car the Jewish father and son keep walking as if the driver of the car who is clearly shaken doesn’t even exist
BH they had a Malach watching over them, but let’s not be so arrogant and respect our fellow human beings.
Maybe next time something like those happens CV’S the driver won’t bother stopping if the frum don’t bother treating the very mentchlich driver with dignity and respect
Remember in this case they caused this event to happen, the driver didn’t and now he is a victim by being completely shaken up. And they walk right by him like he doesn’t even exist
What’s the point of this video! Has nobody heard of a human! “I can’t be guilty of an accident” or “it’s only the subhuman, illiterate who could make a mistake of this magnitude!”. Really? That the father was obnoxious by walking away? Have none of you heard the word confused, shaken, distorted? These are extremely common after an accident! Brothers, we’re in ellul! Please stop just bashing, trampling, degrading, elevating yourself by stepping on another person. Do you really think that even this father didn’t learn his lesson? yes, it could’ve been a costly one, but WE’RE ALL HUMAN! Every commentator here has already made mistakes of this magnitude in his life.
Very low of matzav to post such an hateful article.
I echo the other commentators before me. The father almost killed his kid. He then acts in a disgusting matter that is a true Chilul Hashem by not even stopping to apologize to the driver. He scampers off as if nothing happened. For shame!
This father almost killed his innocent son, never mind himself. He should bentch goimel for his carelessness. And thank Hashem that his son walked away unhurt but maybe traumatized.
Time for some new crossing the street warnings for the dumb amongst us.

Where is vision zero when you need it? This is why vision zero isn’t working. The mayor and the city is waging a one sided campaign against the drivers. Drive 25 mph. Enforce yield to pedestrians. This is may be good. (at least for the city’s pocketbook.) But if there is no mention of wearing reflective belts. Wait on the sidewalk until its your light. Don’t stand in the street (at night) waiting for a hitch. Don’t use your carriage to see if a car is coming Distracted walkers and crossers etc etc, then vision zero is not going to work.
To Lessor:
You’re probably right. He may of been from out of town or country. I know, in Eretz Yisroel, you have no choice but to cross in middle of the street because each one is a mile long. Regardless, they should of crossed at the light. The fact that they didn’t say anything or apologize to the driver, they were probably all shooken up and still shaking to compose themselves. Again, they were probably from out of country and we’re scared of what might of happened to them with the local law. Regardless of what transpired, Hashem was clearly watching over them and was shomer them. Now, they have to ask a shaila of why it almost happened to them and what’s the message.
I cant tell where in BP this is, But its clear that they are crossing in middle of the street.
Father was not looking!
Driver stopped and waited and father and son went the other way without acknowledging.
Obnoxious behavior.

MAYBE HIS SON CAN TEACH HIS FATHER HOW TO CROSS THE STREET

Shame on the father
You are right. I couldn agree with you more….
The father and son were standing ON THE STREET!
r u shoeing this to teach us the dangers of crossing in the middle of the block
r u showing this to teach us the dangers of crossing in the middle of the block
It looks more like two brothers than father and son. Regardless, the older one is clearly not looking in both directions.

This in Williamsburg by Wallabout Street near Whyte Ave.
There is no 2 way street in Williamsburg except on Kent Ave. where there is a divider in the middle.
Maybe they called out I’m sorry to him. Why are comments playing up stereotypes and assumptions.
chillul Hashem & v’enishmartem meod both committed

he looks like a bachur not a man
he does not appear to look to the left at all when crossing

It looks like the man did not realize it is a two-way street and only looked toward the right time and never looked towards the left.

CHILUL HASHEM
The boy looks like he is limping after getting hit.
His left leg most likely
