Former President Trump has departed from Trump Tower and is headed to a New York courthouse for his arraignment after a grand jury indictment over alleged hush money payments. NBC’s Kristen Welker reports.

Upon seeing aerial footage of his limousine heading out to a New York courthouse, Mr. Trump – according to fictitous sources – tweeted: “Wow! This reminds me of the aerial footage of O.J. Simpson’s white Bronco on the 91 Freeway, with the police in hot pursuit of him! This seems so surreal! I just hope I’m exonerated like OJ was. I mean, OJ was guilty, I’m not; he was a murderer; I’m just a regular guy with a lot of politcal enemies out there – the likes of Alvin Bragg – looking to destroy me.”
“If OJ, the murderer, was exonerated,” Trump tweeted, “I’ve got to believe an innocent man like me will be exonerated. But you never know, there are a lot of bad dudes out there colluding with one another to influence my 2024 Presidential campaign.”
Mr. Trump added: “These last 8 years or so, there’s been a continuous, never-ending collusion against me to destroy my presidency and my Presidential camapaigns. It’s “collusion” of the first order, that’s for sure! And it’s not like the infamous phony “Collusion Hoax”, it’s the real collusion, the real deal, that’s for sure!”
