The authors of a study published in the medical journal The Lancet that said taking hydroxychloroquine to treat coronavirus could be fatal retracted their findings Thursday after multiple reports questioned its data.

The database belonged to a small Illinois company called Surgisphere, which is owned by Dr. Sapan Desai, one of four co-authors of the study, and which has a science fiction writer and an adult content model on its small staff, who have little or no medical or science backgrounds.

The World Health Organization and several world governments changed their coronavirus policies and resumed trials of hydroxychloroquine because they got questionable data from the company, The Guardian reported Wednesday.

    • Dr. Zelenko kind of did it to himself.
That kind of putting yourself out there on such a hot topic issue is asking for trouble.
And don’t try to say that he was trying to help people by putting his information out there, (on youtube!) because in the scientific community if you release findings that way, you are automatically ignored.
Aside from which, he never went to an ethics board (IRB) to get approval for a human study which technically is a crime that can lose him his license and wind him up with a prison term (which I hope does NOT happen to him)
So, to summarize, he kinda did it to himself. Was it worth the 15 minutes of fame? I doubt it

  1. And who made an order to stop Dr Zelenko.
